Il gemellaggio con l’Associazione Amici di Brera / Twinning with the Friends of Brera Association

La Galleria dell’Accademia di Firenze comunica il neonato gemellaggio tra due prestigiose associazioni come l’Associazione degli Amici della Galleria dell’Accademia di Firenze e gli Amici di Brera.

“È con enorme piacere che tengo a battesimo la nascita di questo gemellaggio tra l’Associazione degli Amici della Galleria di Firenze e gli Amici di Brera” dichiara Cecilie Hollberg. “Gli Amici del nostro museo hanno una storia molto più recente rispetto a quella degli Amici di Brera, tra le più antiche di Milano, ma dal 2017, quando è stata istituita, ad oggi il loro costante impegno nel sostenere le nostre attività si è dimostrato preziosissimo, aiutandoci, nel tempo, a creare un legame forte con il territorio. Non ho dubbi, anche per la stima personale che ho per i rispettivi presidenti, Fausto Calderai e Carlo Orsi, che questa collaborazione, in sintonia con le indicazioni del MiC-Ministero della cultura, sarà molto proficua sia per la Galleria dell’Accademia di Firenze che per la Pinacoteca di Brera, ne nasceranno certamente progetti interessanti.”

“Due Musei con una storia simile e due collezioni che si compenetrano benissimo, dando una visione quasi completa dell’arte italiana – afferma Fausto Calderai – e due Associazioni di Amici che possono aiutarsi per una conoscenza più approfondita del nostro patrimonio artistico. Nate accanto alle Accademie di Belle Arti, i due Musei furono istituiti da regnanti stranieri, madre e figlio, e da sempre ebbero un respiro europeo. A questo spazio ampio guardano le due nostre Associazioni da oggi gemellate, con la speranza di aprirsi sempre di più a tutti nel far conoscere sempre meglio le collezioni di cui siamo fieri essere accanto.”

“Sono felice di avviare questo nuovo gemellaggio tra gli Amici di Brera e gli Amici della Galleria dell’Accademia di Firenze” aggiunge Carlo Orsi. “Questa collaborazione ci unisce a un’associazione che supporta uno dei musei più illustri di Firenze e che conosco da vicino, avendo contribuito a fondarla nel 2017 insieme ad altri amici e colleghi appassionati. L’accordo ha come obiettivo principale la valorizzazione del ricco patrimonio storico e artistico custodito nei nostri musei di riferimento. Inoltre, mira a incrementare i benefici per i nostri associati, offrendo nuove opportunità di scambio e arricchimento reciproco. Sono convinto che questo gemellaggio darà vita a una fruttuosa e duratura amicizia tra le nostre due istituzioni. Nel clima di incertezza in cui ci troviamo, in cui la cultura spesso non riceve l’attenzione che merita, è fondamentale unire le forze e lavorare insieme per proteggere e diffondere la nostra preziosa eredità culturale.”

The Galleria dell’Accademia in Florence announces the new twinning between two prestigious associations such as the Association of Friends of the Galleria dell’Accademia in Florence and the Friends of Brera.

“It is with great pleasure that I christen the birth of this twinning between the Association of Friends of David and the Friends of Brera” says Cecilie Hollberg. “The Friends of our museum have a much more recent history than that of the Friends of Brera, among the oldest in Milan, but from 2017, when it was established, to today their constant commitment to supporting our activities has proven invaluable, helping us, over time, to create a strong bond with the territory. I have no doubt, also due to the personal esteem I have for the respective presidents, Fausto Calderai and Carlo Orsi, that this collaboration, in line with the indications of the MiC-Ministero della Cultura, will be very profitable for both the Galleria dell’Accademia in Florence and the Pinacoteca di Brera, interesting projects will certainly arise from it.”

“Two Museums with a similar history and two collections that complement each other very well, providing an almost complete vision of Italian art – says Fausto Calderai – and two Associations of Friends that can help each other for a more in-depth knowledge of our artistic heritage. Furthermore, it aims to increase the benefits for our associates, offering new opportunities for exchange and mutual enrichment. I am convinced that this twinning will give life to a fruitful and lasting friendship between our two institutions. In the climate of uncertainty in which we find ourselves, in which culture often does not receive the attention it deserves, it is essential to join forces and work together to protect and spread our precious cultural heritage.”
